The Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute (COFPI) focuses in part on our State???s budget. An increasing portion of our nation???s safety net is provided at the State level. Without a thorough understanding of the public resources that are made available to serve economically disadvantaged families and children, advocates do not have all of the tools they need to be effective and the public is not in a position to evaluate the results of those policy decisions.
