Colorado Children’s Campaign
A statewide organization that champions the full development of all children in Colorado. The campaign provides information on child well-being and data on the health, education, safety, and economic security of children in the state.
Center for At-Risk Education, Colorado Department of Education
CDE’s Center is the channel for Colorado's initiative on closing the state’s achievement gap. Resources and information are available on literacy efforts, achievement, school reform, and accountability efforts.
Colorado Association of School Boards
CASB provides the structure through which school board members can unite in efforts to promote the interests and welfare of Colorado school districts.
Colorado Association of School Executives
An association for K-12 education administrators - to promote education leadership by providing professional growth, advocacy, and legal assistance.
Colorado Commission on Higher Education
CCHE’s mission is to provide access to high-quality, affordable education for all Colorado residents that is student-centered, quality driven and performance-based.
Colorado Community College System

Colorado Department of Education
The administrative arm of the State Board of Education. With an organizational commitment to high standards, challenging assessments, and rigorous accountability measures, CDE serves the preK-12 public education, adult education and family literacy, and library communities of Colorado.
Colorado Education Association
An organization of K-12 teachers and education support professionals; higher education faculty and support professionals; retired educators; and students preparing to become teachers, CEA promotes quality public education and advocates in the interests of public education employees.
Colorado Protectors of Public Schools
A statewide, grassroots organization of Coloradans who value public education and who are committed to preserving adequate funding for our schools. Resources are available to learn about education funding issues and state legislation.
Head First Colorado
An organization that brings together diverse viewpoints to foster informed and productive decisions on education policy in Colorado. The HeadFirst magazine and website are great resources for discussions of current issues affecting the quality of education in Colorado.
National organizations
KIDS-COUNT, Annie E Casey Foundation
Useful state data from the 2004 KIDS COUNT Data Book available in an online database including graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles. In addition KIDS COUNT has three other data sites: KIDS COUNT Census Data Online, CLIKS (County-City-Community Level Information on Kids) and Right Start Online.

Center for the Study of Education Policy, Illinois State University
Hosts a national database of tax support for higher education. Publishes reports on total state tax effort for higher education, including general fund appropriations for universities, colleges, community colleges, and state higher education agencies. Excellent source of funding data.

Community College Research Center
Excellent research on major issues affecting the development, growth, and changing roles of community colleges in the United States, based at Columbia University.
Education Commission of the States
A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization involving key leaders from all levels of the education system, ECS creates unique opportunities to build partnerships, share information and promote the development of policy based on available research and strategies.
National Center for Education Statistics
NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States. Many valuable statistics, publications and analysis of education in the states. Part of the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education.
State Higher Education Executive Officers
A nationwide association of chief executive officers, serving and coordinating the governing boards of postsecondary education throughout the U.S.
